Business Formation
Setting the business up correctly from the start, so you're not paying to restructure it later.
What it is
The entity you choose, sole proprietorship, LLC, S-corp, partnership, or C-corp, determines how you're taxed, what you can deduct, how you pay yourself, and what happens if someone sues you.
Most owners pick one quickly at the beginning and never revisit it. That's usually fine until the business grows, at which point the wrong structure starts costing real money every year. We help you choose deliberately, and we'll tell you if the structure you already have should change.
Who it's for
- Anyone starting a new business
- Owners currently operating as a sole proprietor with no formal entity
- Businesses that have grown past the structure they started with
- Owners bringing on a partner or investor
- Anyone considering an S-corp election
What's included
- Entity selection analysis and recommendation
- State formation filings
- EIN registration
- S-corp election filing where appropriate
- Operating agreement guidance
- Initial chart of accounts and bookkeeping setup
Where it fits
Business formation is handled as a standalone project and is often the first thing we do for a new client before an ongoing membership begins.
