Tax Resolution
Dealing with a notice, a balance owed, or years of unfiled returns, and getting you back to current.
What it is
Unopened IRS envelopes are more common than people admit, and the situation almost always gets more expensive the longer it sits.
We begin by determining exactly what is being requested, which is often less severe than it first appears. From there we get missing returns filed, verify whether the assessed balance is accurate, and work out a path forward. Formal representation rights depend on credentialing status, which we will explain clearly at the outset.
Who it's for
- Anyone who has received an IRS or state notice
- Businesses with unfiled returns from prior years
- Owners with a balance owed they can't pay at once
- Businesses behind on payroll tax deposits
- Anyone who has been avoiding the mail
What's included
- Review and plain-language explanation of the notice
- Verification of whether the assessed amount is correct
- Preparation and filing of back returns
- Payment plan and resolution options
- Penalty abatement requests where grounds exist
- A plan to keep it from happening again
Where it fits
Tax resolution is handled as a standalone project. Most clients move onto an ongoing membership afterward to stay current.
